I do not like the “new and improved” rentals.com and considering switching. Why do you keep changing things? I am also trying to renew some ads because I will be out of town when they have only “2″ days left. What a hassle!

We received many requests from customers to add additional functionality to the Manage My Ads page. They wanted to be able to renew or deactivate listings right on the page without having to click through to each listing. The redesign was put in front of many customers and their feedback helped shape the current view. The response we have received with the new Manage My Ads has been extremely positive. The favorite feature is being able to renew multiple ads all from the Manage My Ads page simply by clicking in the box to the left of each listing and then clicking on the Renew Selected button on top.

Customers who are on invoice, can simply select Auto-Renew on selected listings and these will automatically renew. No need to wait until the last 2 days.

How long can an ad be “deactivated” ? Does the listing time continue to run or is it put on hold? Indefinitely?-if the 30 days has been paid for?

When a listing is deactivated, it means that the listing is no longer displayed on Rentals.com for prospective tenants to view and respond to. A Rentals.com listing is good for 30 days from the date purchased, so the time will not be available after the initial 30 days from purchase. I suppose one way to look at this is that you don’t get to use the additional days after a property rents. But the good new is that a listing was so responsive, you were able to find a tenant sooner!

It would be nice if we could use the extra days like rollover minutes on one of other ads.
